
DL&A Associate: Jaime S.Wurzel, Ed.D
Jaime S.Wurzel, Ed.D is President of Intercultural Resource Corporation, a firm that produces multimedia software and training videos.* He was born in Bolivia, and has lived, studied and lectured in Argentina, Europe and the Middle East. He was formerly Associate Professor and Director of Intercultural Studies at Boston University. Dr. Wurzel is the author of numerous articles, and the widely used book, Toward Multiculturalsim. His forthcoming book, In the Universe of Sudden Changes. Reflections on Cultural Identity, received the Boston University Humanities Foundation Award. Dr. Wurzel has also written and produced the following high quality training programs. The Multicultural Work Place; The Intercultural Classroom, Hidden Dimensions In Business Interactions, Better Together than A-P-A-R-T, and Chinese Cultural Values. The newest release The Cross Cultural Conference Room: Dimensions in Intercultural Relations (Video and CD ROM) is a unique program that examines communication, ethics, negotiation and group dynamics from an intercultural perspective. The Cross-Cultural Conference Room has been adopted by the Boeing Corporation, Deloitte and Touche, Federal Express and Telecom France as well as several business schools. Dr. Wurzel is a permanent faculty member at the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland Oregon, member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chapter of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research). He has consulted and conducted seminars nationally and internationally on cultural variation and diversity, organizational processes and team building. His most recent clients include, the Brandeis University Business School, Ottawa School of Law and The Gillette Company in Boston and Argentina. |
