Thomas Thielen

Profile PictureThomas Thielen is an experienced corporate trainer, consultant and programme designer with approximately 15 years of experience in international projects, especially in the area of consultative selling and complex sales. He has worked extensively on intercultural teams, where global managers have benefited from his cross-cultural insight into and coaching on German corporate and cultural norms, including those related to various sales environments in Germany.

After a successful career in sales & marketing, Thomas led a team that contributed to a direct marketing consultancy service for Deutsche Post AG. Additionally, in other consulting roles, he designed customer interaction procedures for call centres, implemented direct marketing campaigns, and participated extensively in training roll-outs for many clients. His programme design and curriculum focus have included train-the-trainer, sales & service, communication, leadership, conflict management, team building, and project management sessions. Thomas was also involved in an intensive global sales training project with DL&A where he successfully delivered both product and sales training for a DL&A U.S.-based high tech client. He is certified in SPIN®-Selling (Huthwaite International) and has graduated as a Coach from a German coaching federation.

Thomas is highly responsive and generous with his time and talents. Delegates in his workshops and training sessions positively evaluate his calm training style, and appreciate his sense of humor as well as the empathetic feedback he provides. While Thomas only conducts formal trainings in German, his competencies include coaching individuals and small groups in English, both face-to-face and virtually. Thomas lives in Germany near the Cologne/Bonn region.
